Saxon Hilt Sword - This one-hand cut and thrust sword falls into a class of German swords called Saxon hilts. These were designed with a lower ring filled with an artistically worked metal plate to prevent the intrusion of an opponent's sword tip. A large steel pommel balances the cut and thrust blade very nicely. The guard is also solid steel. Leather covered, grooved wood grip gives a very positive hold. Comes with leather scabbard. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
