This type of armor was developed for Emperor Maxmillan I in the 16th century. This German plate armor was desigbed not only for protection but style, as it imitates the pleated clothing of the time. Some of its charastics are a visored closed helmet, small fan shaped fluting and elaborate etching. This is a full-size, wearable suit of armor. It comes with a display stand. The armor is made of 16 to 18 gauge steel and comes with a shield.
