TERMS & CONDITIONS
ORDERING AND PAYMENT
We ship only to customers in the United States, Canada and to APO/FPOs. Orders may be placed in several ways. To place an order on line with a credit card simply select the credit card button from the shopping cart screen. You may then enter credit card information on our secure site. Your information is protected by Verisign.
To place an order by FAX, telephone or mail, choose this button at the shopping cart. You may print the receipt for for easy reference.
Brothersmith-Knives takes several methods of payment in U.S. dollars. VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express card are welcome. You can order on-line on our secure server. If you are not comfortable with on-line payment you may place your order on-line then call toll free 1-888-854-9565 and give us credit card information. However, quantities are limited and online payment takes priority. Prices are subject to change without notice. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. Orders will be held until you call. You may FAX orders Toll Free to 1-888-250-5651 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
We also accept money orders, bank checks and personal checks by to the address listed below. However, please allow two weeks for personal checks to clear.
We also accept School Purchase Orders on a net 30 Day payment basis.
We sometimes offer name your own price or free items based on the following conditions. Only one of any name your price or free item per customer. Only a quantity of one for the name your own price or free item. Customer must purchase at least one item at regular price to qualify for name your own price or free item. Orders with name your own price or free items that do not meet these conditions will be cancelled.
International Orders
Due to outrageous increases in shipping charges, even more outragious VAT taxes, restrictions on shipping by Air and increasing credit card fraud we are suspending all sales outside the USA, Canada and APO/FPOs. We are sorry for having to take this action but feel our international customers are being taken advantage of by Postal services and Tax Agencies and must refuse any new International orders. The customer is responsible for all brorkage and customs fees due upon delivery.
RETURNS
All returns must have a Return Authorization Number before they will be accepted. Please call us at 1-888-854-9565 to obtain this number if the return meets the qualifications below. Shipping charges on returned or refused packages will no be refunded and are the responsibility of the customer.
1. There will be a 15% restocking fee on all returned merchandise within 30 days of the purchase. Shipping charges are also the responsibility of the customer returning merchandise.
2. Defective merchandise will be handled on a case by case basis.
3. All Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of purchase, in new condition and it their original packaging or returns will not be accepted.
4. Due to different procedures by carriers, merchandise damaged in transit will be handled on a case by case basis. Please email us with a description of the damage. We will contact you on procedures for replacement and return of the merchandise. For faster response please use email whenever possible.
RESTRICTIONS AND LEGAL NOTICES
By placing orders on this site you are attesting to the following:
1. There are no federal, state or local laws prohibiting you from purchasing the items ordered.
2. You are of legal age or have parents permission to order these items.
3. You are the owner of or have permission to use payment instruments.
It is illegal to conceal a knife with a blade length over 4 inches in most states. Please do not conceal these weapons. If transporting weapons of any kind, be sure to check the laws of the places you will be transporting them to or through. In this age of heightened security be careful taking a weapon of any sort to a public place. We post on the descriptions any state that prohibits any weapon we sell. Be sure to check and let us know of any local law regarding any of our products.
Back-Orders
We do not backorder out of stock items.
Shipping
Shipping charges on returned or refused packages will no be refunded and are the responsibility of the customer. Shipping charges are based on the amount ordered. International, UPS Ground, UPS Air and mail charges are computed and displayed at the check out phase of ordering. International order will be shipped USPS Parcel Post. Express and air cost are prohibitive.
We ship UPS in the Continental US and Canada only. Shipping cost and options will be displayed at the Shipping page during the checkout process.
We try to ship all orders as soon as possible. However, when unable to ship the same day we will ship the next shipping day. Shipping days are days our carriers accept shipments. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays taken by our carries are not considered shipping days. If Saturday delivery or special shipping is required, please call 888-854-9565. UPS Saturday Delivery has additional charges. All direct and drop shipments are generally heavy and will be shipped by our suppliers normal method.
Safety Is Our Top Priority
Here at Brothersmith-Knives safety is always our top priority. Hunting, pocket and Bowie knives, for display or use are still weapons and can be dangerous, if not handled correctly.
A weapon is a tool and like any tool should be handled with respect. We have found that if three basic safety rules are followed, accidents will be prevented. Always assume a gun is loaded. Second, never point any weapon at anything unless you intend to use it. Last but certainly not least, always keep knives, guns and swords out of the reach of children.
